"Your customer doesn’t care how much you know until they know how much you care "
We all are consumers in one way or the other . With the increasing amount of consumerism, there is an increase in the various aspects related to it- improvement of consumer laws and magnification of grievances being the most important amongst all.
A consumer today has access to various facilities and services, but along with that, a major section of the consumers become prey at the hands of shopkeepers. Grievances are increasing in both number as well as intensity. Laws were made in the past to deal with all kinds of consumer grievances, and they have been modified over these years for better implementation and results.
The National Consumer Day is observed every year in India on 24th December. On this day the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 had received the assent of the president. Observance of this day provides an opportunity for individuals to highlight the importance of the consumer movement and promote the basic rights and responsibilities of all consumers.
Adverse consumer experiences in the market demand further modifications in the laws and higher level of awareness amongst the consumers. It needs to be made clear that being manipulated at the hand of the sellers is not wrong, but not voicing out ones experiences and demanding justice is.
The National Consumer Awareness Day aims at spreading and sharing whatever information and experiences we undergo , so that they can enlighten everyone else. We must act as responsible citizens and help others as well to stay Satark, Awareness is the need of the hour! Stay Satark, stay Alter, stay Safe!
