LEGAL PROTECTION TO CONSUMER

Consumer Awareness is the process of educating a customer about his rights when purchasing products and services.  It comprises letting a customer know about his informational, safety, and legal rights.. Consumer protection  is one of the government's most enduring issues.

We consider the customer to be God. The need to inform and encourage consumers to pay attention to product quality as well as potential flaws in the services of the expanding industry is vital and becoming more and more important.Consumers have a number of legal rights and safeguards thanks to the Consumer Protection Act of 1986. It permits a client to file a formal complaint with a court against a service provider. A complaint is often filed if the company disobeys a legal order to fix the issue. Indian consumer courts provide clients with timely legal advice and judgements through both physical and online platforms.

To handle consumer complaints, a three-tier structure is in place. It starts with the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum (DCDRF),  State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission  (SCDRC) at state level  and at the national level, it is the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), which is based in New Delhi, is the highest venue in the three-tiered redressal system established by the Consumer Protection Act.

Rights of the consumers are often taken for granted by the seller. People do not complain if they are taken advantage of with a bad pricing, product, or service because they are baffled by the idea of going to court or filing a FIR. However, contrary to what many keep in their minds, submitting a complaint for a consumer right is simple.
